As a Director of Patient Care Service, you'll report directly to the Administrator and manage the daily functions our Hospice operations. Your role will include ensuring a smooth and systematic patient admission process to Hospice Services, coordinating ancillary services, and overseeing the supervision and evaluation of hospice staff and volunteers. You'll also be responsible for managing communication with leadership and coordinating services across the multi-disciplinary team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Ensure compliance with accrediting, licensing, and regulatory standards.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures.

- Commit to delivering high-quality care and service.

- Apply continuous quality improvement principles in daily tasks.

- Manage Human Resources effectively.

- Facilitate clear communication, keep employees updated, and address issues as they arise.

- Oversee core orientation and specific training for staff, volunteers, and contract personnel.

- Select, supervise, and evaluate interdisciplinary team members.

- Drive team performance towards goals, monitor progress, and adjust as needed.

- Effectively manage office operations.

- Plan and organize tasks and resources to meet strategic goals.

- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services.

- Supervise the quality of patient care and handle emergency calls.

- Visit patients and participate in the on-call schedule.

- Address concerns and needs of physicians, patients, families, and staff.

- Supervise and evaluate family satisfaction surveys in coordination with the Administrator.

- Manage financial resources wisely and review financials with the Administrator.

- Ensure annual expenses align with the budget and handle various financial tasks.

**Education:**

  - Required: Registered Nurse with at least an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

  - Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a Master’s degree in business, nursing, or a related field.

 **Qualifications and Experience:**

  - Required: At least one year of management or supervisory experience and two years in hospice/home care.

  - Required: Three years of direct patient care experience and three to five years in healthcare sales or management.

- **Licenses and Certifications:**

  - Current nursing license for the relevant state, if applicable.

  - CPR Certification.

  - Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, access to reliable transportation

  - Proficiency in operating computers, fax machines, copiers, and cell phones.

  - Reliable transportation for work-related travel.
